A) Personal characteristics

Good at socialising - I always try to/enjoy making conversation with others (for example, when sitting next to my friend Izzy in media, we always socialise together)

Positive Attitude - I always try to spread positivity (for example, when entering my media classroom, I greet my teacher with a smile)

Friendly - I helped 2 people on their first day in class (one I helped her by allowing her to join in in our conversation and offered her to come and help us with work so she wasn't alone. The other I helped him by learning more about the macs - how to turn them on, screenshot and save work)

Improvements

Motivation - Sometimes I tend to not have the motivation to do work due to being distracted by small things (e.g social media) , however I will improve on this by setting myself little goals at the start and keeping the distractions away from me to ensure I am focused.

Maintaining my stress - Sometimes, when I am loaded with work, I tend to feel stressed due to the thought that I will not complete it all, however I will improve on this by doing little bits at a time as soon as I am given the work to ensure that it all doesn't pile up.

Talking over others - Sometimes, I have the habit of talking over others when they're speaking, however I will improve on this by forcing myself to wait until they are done speaking so I can get my point across.

B) Skills

Soft Skills

Working with others - I have the capability to work in a group successfully without causing any disruptions (for example, when making a film for unit 17, we weren't distracted and produced a large amount of footage on the first day due to being productive)

Presenting work - The work I have produced throughout the course has reached distinction quality and my post production in particular for unit 17 impressed my teacher to an extent that my teacher emailed my parents to tell them how good it was

Improvements

Expressing ideas - Sometimes I tend to struggle to express ideas due to thinking that my ideas are wrong/bad ideas, however I will improve on this/am currently improving by forcing myself to give ideas even if they aren't the best, because the group may think differently and feel that it is a good idea.

Decision Making - Sometimes I tend to struggle to make decisions due to the worry of what will happen in the future. However, I will improve on this by weighing out the pros and cons to see the overall best result for me. 

Hard Skills

Paperwork - For unit 17, the paperwork we produced was done efficiently due to all of us splitting up the work and having a group chat to communicate with to ensure the work was done.

Adjusting when having problems with technology - For unit 17,  we had a situation where the slider wasn't working to the extent we wanted it to, so due to this, we had to adjust by using the members of our team to keep the slider steady while recording (me and Josh held each side of the slider and Louis recorded the footage).

Improvements

Camera work - At the start of the course, I struggled to use the camera due to the last time I used a camera being a long time ago, however I will improve on this/am improving by taking the opportunity to use the camera's from college whenever I have the chance to/try using the camera when needed for a unit. 

Using Certain Software - In the past, when I did unit 44, I had to use a software known as 'Maya' and personally, I had issues with using Maya because I found it very complicated/currently still do. However I will improve on this/am improving by watching tutorials on YouTube to learn more about the software and hopefully remove this problem.

C) Relevant Achievements (Future)

Grades - I want to achieve 3 distinction stars by the end of the course (in order to achieve this, i must have 15D and 3M at least)

Achievements at work - From my part time job, I received a reward for my exceptional effort from my colleagues and received another reward for working with my manager and co-manager by helping them do little jobs for them around the store.

Photography - I want to be more consistent with my photography page on Flickr and have a page filled with a variety of images

D)  Experience and interests

Interests - Photography and editing photos to create a meaning within the image(s)

Experience - I did wedding photography with a crew for my cousins wedding
